Dr. Jim Rice is the senior pastor and founder of Gateway Baptist Church. He graduated in 1985 from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC and completed graduate studies at Northland Baptist Bible College in Dunbar, WI. In the fall of 1990 he and his wife were led of the Lord to come to Loveland from Pennsylvania to establish the church. They arrived in Loveland on July 31, 1991 and held the first service on September 15, 1991 (more information on the history of the church can be found under the Church History section. Jim and his wife DeAnn have three children.
